Gate Access
We’ve recently installed a new gate access system at Forest Hills Golf Club to enhance security and improve the flow of traffic. This system ensures that only authorised members, guests, and staff can enter the course, creating a safer and more controlled environment for all. As a member you will be provided with a key fob which will allow you access to the golf course.

How does it work?
Entering the golf course
The access gate is located, directly next to the golf shop. It features a keypad, which can be used with a fob or keycode.
To access the golf course, just hold your members fob up to the keypad and hold. The light on the keypad will turn green and the gate will unlock.
The gate stays unlocked for a few seconds.
Exiting the golf course
When exiting the golf course please use the keypad on the side of the golf shop (as pictured) and simply hold your fob to it, to release the gate.
Important
When using your fob, please ensure, only you access the golf course. Please remember that if you have held the gate open for others, they are not registered as ‘on the golf course’, so will not be insured.

Why is there now gate access?
The gate access system has been introduced to ensure that only authorised players are using the course, helping us maintain the quality and integrity of the facilities. It also serves an important role as a registration system, providing a clear record of who is on site at any given time. This is particularly important for insurance purposes, allowing us to meet safety and accountability standards more effectively.
£11.25 of your affiliation fee you pay each year provides you with golf insurance on the golf course. This is provided through England Golf. If you haven’t paid your affiliation fee, you are not covered. Please remember that your affiliation fee can be paid on the IG app.

Am I insured?
If you have paid your affiliation fee, you are insured through England Golf for play at Forest Hills Golf Club.
£11.25 of your affiliation fee goes to England Golf to cover this. The rets of your affiliation fee goes to GGU.
What about guests?
Guests will be provided with a keycode to use on the keypad, once all relevant fees have been paid.
What happens if I lose my fob?
If you lose your fob, please contact the golf shop for a replacement. Replacement fobs are charged at £5 each.
