Forest Hills is a naturally undulating parkland golf course set in the beautiful Forest Of Dean, Gloucestershire with panoramic views over the old market town of Coleford to the hills of Herefordshire beyond.
Forest Hills is currently regarded as being one of the finest golf courses in Gloucestershire, with such excellent drainage that the tees and greens can be used all year round. It has an open door to visitors and offers the opportunity for experienced players and beginners alike to challenge themselves on our well drained course.
The PGA hold West region golf events at the club including the Forest Classic and visitors come from the surrounding counties of Monmouthshire, Herefordshire as well as Bristol, Cardiff and Worcestershire.
It is a family owned golf club, acquired in September 2009 by the Breton family. Both players of golf they ensure all members and visitors get the best experience possible.

Forest Driving Range Free Coaching Tips – opposite the golf club is the driving range and on Tuesadays from 12.30-1.30 Sue, our PGA professional will give free tips and coaching for golfers practising. You just need to turn up and start practising with a bucket of balls.. If you would like a take away coffee and change for the machine, pop into the golf club coffee lounge first. The machine takes £1 coins, buckets of balls are £2, £3 or £6.
If you practise regularly then consider a range card. Available from the Golf Club Pro Shop they give you extra balls for your money!

Our Golf Professional: is Sue Bamford, a level III advanced PGA coach and ex-european tour player. Sue takes lessons for members and non members and players of all abilities at the golf club and on the driving range. New Classes Starting
Juniors: Junior coaching times have changed to 10-11am on Saturdays. New competitions are being introduced for beginners and Junior members. There has never been a better time to get your children into golf! Book classes on 01594 810823

Coffee Lounge lunch offer: enjoy 2 for 1 on bar meals and light lunches throughout January and February in our upstairs coffee lounge.
Burns Night: January 21st. Enjoy a 3 course themed meal, some piping in the haggis and ceilidh dancing. Tickets £20 from the golf club office on 01594 810620.
Fish and Chip supper February 24th: Just £7 for chefs battered fish, chips, mushy peas plus bread and butter. Bookings from 6pm. If you’d prefer breased fish or sausages, please advise when booking.
Members of the public are welcome in the Coffee Republic Coffee Lounge. during the week from 9-4pm. Meals and home made cakes cakes are also served. Free WiFi and golf course views. (Coffee Lounge is upstairs)
